1/4 cup Crisco

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder 

1/3 cup nuts 

Cooking Instructions:

Cream Crisco and brown sugar, add lightly beaten egg, salt, vanilla, baking powder and flour.

Nuts if desired.

Spread in 9 inch sq. cake pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
