Hot Pepper Rings

1 peck of hot banana peppers cut into rings or strips
1 8oz tomato paste
1 tbsp salt
3 cups sugar
2 cups vinega
12 oz catsup
1 pt oil
Boil last 6 ingredients for 10 minutes, then add peppers.
Cook 5 minutes more.
Fill canning jars and boil in a hot water bath for 10 minutes.
