Grandma's Pickled Eggs Ingredients

8 medium eggs1/2 cup cider vinegar1 cup water or use juice from beets1tbsp pickling spices1/2 cup sugar2- 15 oz can small whole beets 

Grandma's Pickled Eggs Cooking Instructions

Place eggs into saucepan cook on medium high heat till boil turn off the burner, cover the pot and let the eggs sit in the pot for 5-7 minutes Then empty warm water and fill saucepan with cold ice water to cool eggs to touch so you can peel eggs  Meanwhile cook pickling solutions- vinegar, water, spices, and sugar to a boil then lower heat to simmer for 5 minutes.  Pour hot solution over the peeled eggs.  Pack a few hard-cooked eggs loosely into a quart jar (or other heatproof container) then a few beets alternating to have easy serving. There needs to be plenty of pickling solution, and enough to completely cover the eggs. Pour the hot pickling solution over the eggs/beets in the jar, cover, and refrigerate. .
