Best Crockpot Ringneck Pheasant Recipe Ingredients

1/4 Cup Kosher Salt4 Cups water1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup1 Box of Chicken stuffing

Best Crockpot Ringneck Pheasant Recipe Cooking Instructions

Add 1/4 cup of Kosher salt to 4 cups of water, place in pot and heat until kosher salt is completely dissolved. Cool this brine to room temperature. place brine and pheasant in a one gallon zip lock bag and place in refrigerator for at least 6 hours or over night. Remove pheasant from brine, rinse with cold water and pat dry, discard brine. In a crockpot empty one can of cream of chicken soup and one can of water (from empty soup can) place pheasant in crockpot and cook until meat can be pulled away from breast bone ( 4 hours or longer depending on size of pheasant) 15 minutes before serving remove the pheasant and add a box of chicken stuffing mix (dry) to the chicken soup mix already in the crockpot. Serve pheasant and stuffing with either potatoe or ricePheasant is a dry game bird but this simple brine makes the meat juicer. This brine also woks well with a turkey breast.
