Bread Stuffing

Bread Stuffing Ingredients


2 loaves Conzatti's Italian bread (day old) cubed

1/2 tsp poultry seasoning

1/2 tsp sage

4 tbsp margarine

1 large onion, chopped

1-2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup mushrooms, chopped optional

1/2 cup celery, chopped

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tbsp parsley

2 tbsp McAneny chicken flavored soup base

2 cups hot water

2 eggs


Bread Stuffing Cooking Instructions


Combine bread, poultry seasoning, and sage in large bowl.

Saute 4 tbsp margarine, 1 large chopped onion, 1-2 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms, 1/2 cup chopped celery, salt and pepper, and 1 tbsp parsley.  

Cool.

Beat eggs with fork or whisk 1 minute.

Pour over bread mixture; mix thoroughly.

Add sauteed mixture.

Mix thoroughly.

Pour chicken broth over bread a little at a time.

Until desired moistness, but not too soggy.

Stuff desired meat.
