1 lb dry lima beans
1 tbsp salt
1/4 cup chopped onion
5 slices bacon, cut in pieces
4 tbsp molasses
3 tbsp brown sugar
2-1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp chili powder
3 cups canned tomatoes
1 lb wieners

Wash beans and soak overnight.
Drain.
Cover beans with water.
Add 1 tbsp salt and cook 30 minutes.
Drain and rinse with hot water.
Cook onion with bacon until onion is tender and bacon is crisp.
Combine with remaining ingredients and add to beans.
Place in a 2-1/2 qt. casserole.
Cover.
Bake at 375 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, until beans are tender.
Uncover and add wieners the last hour of cooking time.
Serves 6.
Option: Use canned lima beans. Same ingredients.
Bake at 375 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until beans are tender.
Use automatic timer and meal is ready for dinner.
Wieners will cook while you make a salad and set the table.
