Italian Fruit Salad

Italian Fruit Salad Ingredients

2 cans (16-20oz) pineapple tidbits

2 cans Mandarin oranges

1-16 oz container or Cool Whip

1 lb box of acini di pepe

3 eggs

1-1/2 cup sugar

3 tbsp flour

1 tsp vanilla

Maraschino cherries for garnish

Italian Fruit Salad Cooking Instructions

Drain (reserving liquid) and cut fruit into smaller pieces.

Cook reserved juices with eggs, sugar, flour and vanilla until thick; about 8 minutes.

Cook, drain and rinse acini di pepe.

Pour thickened juices over pasta.

Add fruit and mix together.

Refrigerate for four hours.

Stir in Cool Whip when ready to serve and garnish with cherries.
