1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 can (27 oz) sauerkraut, undrained
3/4 pound smoked sausage or kielbassa, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 to 3 lbs of boneless, skinless, chicken thighs
1/2 tsp salt-optional
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 to 1/2 tsp dried thyme

In a mixing bowl combine the first four ingredients.
Place on bottom of a large baking dish.
Top with sausage (or kielbassa) and chicken sprinkle with salt, pepper and thyme.
Bake covered at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
Enjoy with mashed potatoes and buttered rye bread.
