Norwegian Lamb in Cabbage

Norwegian Lamb in Cabbage Ingredients


2 lb lamb shoulder, cut into serving-size pieces

1 head cabbage, cut into sections

2-3 tsp salt

10 whole black peppercorns

2-3 tbsp flour

4-5 cup water

1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped 


Norwegian Lamb in Cabbage Cooking Instructions


Place meat and cabbage in pan with salt and peppercorns. 

Add water.

Add 2 to 3 tbps flour.

Cook slowly under cover 1-1/2 hours.

Serve with boiled potatoes and bread.

Prune pudding is good with this Norwegian dish.

Serves 4.
