Key Lime Cake

Key Lime Cake Ingredients


1-3/4 cup Oil or (1 cup applesauce & 3/4 cup oil)

3/4 cup Orange Juice

5 Eggs

1 (3-oz.) pkg. Lime Gelatin

1 pkg. Lemon Flavor Cake Mix

1/4 cup Lime Juice

5-6 T. Confectioner's Sugar



Frosting:

1 (8-oz.) pkg. Cream Cheese, softened

1 tsp. Vanilla

4 T. Butter, softened

1 box Confectioner's Sugar


Key Lime Cake Cooking Instructions


Combine the oil, orange juice, eggs, gelatin and cake mix , beating until smooth.

Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan and bake at 325° for 20 - 30 minutes or until done.

Do not overbake.

Take cake from oven and prick top all over with a fork.

Combine lime juice and confectioner's sugar, stirring until smooth and drizzle over the cake.



Frosting:

Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth

Beat in the vanilla

Then beat in the sugar until creamy consistency is reached.

Spread over cooled cake.
