Jewish Apple Cake

Jewish Apple Cake Ingredients


3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 cup oil

4 eggs

2-1/2 tsp baking powder

2-1/2 tsp vanilla

1 large orange (about 1/2 cup juice)



5 large apples, peeled and sliced

2 tsp cinnamon

5 tbsp sugar

Jewish Apple Cake Cooking Instructions


Measure 1st 7 ingredients into bowl and mix well.

Grease 10 inch pan and mix well.  (I use mixture of sugar and cinnamon to dust pan.)

Peel and slice apples.

Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Pour 1/2 cake batter into pan.

Place 1/2 apple slices on top of batter.

Pour rest of batter on.

Arrange rest of apples on top.

Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees, 1-3/4 hours.



Test to make sure it's done.
