Cranberry-Orange Spice Cake

1/2 cup Shortening
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg, beaten
1 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Nuts, chopped
1-3/4 cup Flour, sifted
1/3 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
1 (14-oz.) jar Cranberry Orange Relish
4 tsp. Butter, softened
1-1/2 cups Powder Sugar
1 tsp. Orange Juice
Cream shortening and sugar together, add beaten egg.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Combine dry ingredients and sift
Add to raisin mixture.
Stir in cranberry-orange relish (or you can use whole berry cranberry sauce, chopped up and tsp. grated orange rind combined).
Bake at 350° for about 1 hour in a greased tube pan, or in 2 greased 8 inch cake pans for about 30-40 minutes.
When cake is cooled, top with glaze.
