1/2 cup raisins
7 oz semisweet chocolate chips
3 tbsp margarine
6 tbsp sugar
3 oz plain almonds, finely chopped
7 oz butter cookies, crushed
3 tbsp mixed candied fruit
2 egg yolks
Powdered sugar for decorating

Soak raisins covered in warm water until needed.
Put chocolate chips and margarine in double boiler over simmering water until melted. Do not let chocolate touch the water.
Add sugar, almonds, cookie crumbs, drained raisins and candied fruit.
Mix well and remove from heat.
Immediately stir in egg yolks then let mixture cool completely.
Form mixture into a long salami shape by hand.
Cut sheet of wax paper large enough to cover salami. Place salami in center.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on all sides of salami, then seal with wax paper.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Before serving, remove wax paper and cut the salami in slices.
Arrange slices on serving dish.
When sliced, this dessert really looks like salami, complete with white outer coating.
