1 stick unsalted butter
3/4 cup of sugar
3 eggs (1 egg for brusing biscotti)
2 tbsp Grand Marnier (or any orange liqueur)
The rind of one orange
2 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz Bittersweet Chocolate Pieces(chopped)
1/2 cup lightly toasted chopped pecans

Beat sugar and butter
Beat in one egg at a time
Add Grand Marnier and orange rind
In another bow, whish together flour, baking powder and salt
Add to butter mixture
Mix well
Add Chocolate pieces
Divide dough into 2, 3 or 4 portions
Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze 20 minutes
Remove from freezer
Roll dough into logs on a sugar coated board
Before baking, beat one egg until frothy
With a pastry brush, brush egg over top and sides of logs
Bake on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper at 350 for 30 minutes
Remove from oven and let stand to cool, about 15 minutes.
With a serrated knife cut 1/2" slices.
Discard parchment paper, place cookies flat side down on cookie sheet.
Re-bake at 300 for 7 to 10 minutes
Store in tin cans in refigerator or freezer
