Chocolate Filled Bon-Bons

1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco

1/2 c. granulated sugar

1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 egg

1 2/3 c. flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

36 chocolate kisses

36 pecan halves

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream crisco, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla & egg at medium speed.

Combine flour, soda, & salt and stir into cremed mixture.

Press 2 level teaspoonfuls dough around kiss, covering completely. Place pecan half on top of each. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for 6-7 minutes. (cookies will not brown. do not overbake)

Cool on baking sheet 1 minute. Remove to cooling racks.
