2 c. quick oats
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. caramel ice cream topping
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 1/2 c. coarsely chopped peeled apples (Cortland, Granny Smith, Winesap)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 10 x 15 pan.
Combine oats, 2 c. flour, brown sugar, baking powder, & melted butter. Mix at low speed till crumbly. Press 1/2 of mixture to form base in bottom of pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine caramel & 1/2 c. flour in saucepan. Blend well. Boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Boil 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Sprinkle apples & walnuts over warm base. Drizzle caramel mix over top. Sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake an additional 20-25 min.
Cool till set then cut.
