Tex Mex Five Layered Dip Ingredients


1 can refried beans

2 or 3 ripe avocados, mashed with 2 tbls lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

6 oz black olives, chopped

8 oz package cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 package taco seasoning

1 large bunch of green onions, chopped with tops


Tex Mex Five Layered Dip Cooking Instructions


On a large platter or two pie plates spread beans

Top this with mashed avocadoes

Mix mayo, sour cream and taco seasoning

Spread on avocadoes

Sprinkle with tomatoes, onions and olives

Cover with cheese

Chill, then serve at room temperature with large, round tortilla chips



As a main dish, saute 1 lb of ground beef

Drain grease and layer last before the cheese

Bake at 350 degrees until heated through and cheese is melted.
