2 lb hot, spicy, bulk sausage meat
2-1/2 cup tart applesauce
1/3 cup candy "red hots"
Form the sausage meat into tiny, inch-diameter balls and fry in a heavy skillet until well browned and cooked.
Place the applesauce in a saucepan, add the candies and heat, stirring, until they dissolve.
Add the meat balls.
Yield: ten servings.
